Hi, Nice to meet you! I’m Lauren Caggiano, CPT, of New Heights Fitness.

So, why fitness? I’m glad you asked.

Where to begin? My story starts in high school, when I worked at Fazoli’s. I gained about 20 pounds from that job and that was only compounded with an unhealthy diet and lifestyle in college. Six years later I had 50 extra pounds on my 5’5’’ frame. I was miserable and unhealthy, at 182.5.

Then one day in July 2013, I had had enough. I enjoyed a weight-loss program and started a consistent exercise routine. I was hooked. When my father was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, those fitness classes were my therapy.

When he passed away in 2015, I made a promise to myself to continue that momentum. For him. He was my biggest cheerleader. He also struggled with diet and exercise as well. I knew diabetes didn’t have to be my destiny. So I pressed on — and lost and kept off 50 pounds total since August 2018. Prior to that milestone, I became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), in April 2018.

New Heights Fitness is both a passion and a vocation. The business name is a nod to my father, a fellow University of Dayton “Flyer.” We shared that common bond and it’s something I still hold dear to my heart.

Speaking of family, I am a fourth-generation entrepreneur. My paternal great-grandparents (pictured below), Martha and James Caggiano, were immigrants from Italy and entrepreneurs in Niagara Falls, N.Y. My grandfather and father (pictured below) both followed suit. Put simply, it’s in my blood!

Just as my entrepreneurial roots run deep, so does my passion. I want to show people that a better version of themselves is attainable — with no magic pills, shakes or wraps. Let me show you how to regain control of your life or maintain your progress.

Let me take you to New Heights.
